As the Joint Industrial Data Exchange Pipeline (JIDEP) project has attained the ending in 2025, Stellantis CRF (FIAT Motors) hosted a project-ending meeting on 5th to 6th May 2025 in Turin, Italy. The consortium members gathered to discuss the results and next steps of the JIDEP project.
The consortium partners evaluated the outcomes and impact assessments across all eight work packages in alignment with the project’s core objectives at the final review meeting. They also presented the final demonstrations of the JIDEP platform alongside all three industrial use cases.
Solutions across three industrial domains, including automotive, renewable energy, and electronics, are developed within the scope of the project. The data-sharing platform aims to establish a comprehensive data ecosystem encompassing the entire value chain in these sectors.
Technovative Solutions Ltd. developed multiple tools for the JIDEP project. Farhadur Arifin, Research Lead at TVS, demonstrated them at the final review meeting, which included:
1. JIDEP platform: TVS demonstrated the JIDEP platform, including the collaborative space and access management system.
2. Circularity Tool: The Circularity Tool was presented, which is used to illustrate the circularity index of an automobile crossbar.
3. Digital Product Passport (DPP): DigiProd Pass, a specialised division of TVS, has developed DPP as a commercially ready software product for a wind turbine blade and presented it.
4. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool: An LCA tool was developed and presented by TVS, assessing the environmental impact of a wind turbine blade.
Notably, all the tools developed by TVS achieved Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) between 5 (Technology validated in relevant environment) and 6 (Technology demonstrated in relevant environment). The consortium members extended their satisfactions and greetings to TVS for the contribution to the JIDEP project.
As a collective interest to develop a commercial platform was shown, the consortium is planning to scale the digital solutions to TRL 9 (Actual system proven in operational environment) for commercialisation. The plans include engaging a broader community of stakeholders to contribute to and utilise the platform and disseminating information to the wider public through various channels. Several workshops will be conducted by use-case partners such as TPI, Adler and FIAT Motors to transfer the knowledge of utilising the JIDEP data-sharing platform. Such initiatives will extend the project's impact.
The JIDEP project has been highly successful, having achieved all its outlined objectives while generating significant interest from both industry insiders and external stakeholders. Each consortium member effectively presented their outcomes, and the reviewers acknowledged the project’s strong alignment with its goals, offering only minor remarks regarding specific results and their wider impacts. Collaboration among the partners proved highly productive, driven by a shared commitment to utilising the JIDEP platform and its digital tools to address data-sharing challenges effectively.
This project has received funding from Horizon Europe Research and Innovation under grant agreement number 101058732.
